Orlando Health is seeking a BE/BC Anesthesiologist to join our Ambulatory Anesthesiology team. The position is to join a collaborative team of anesthesiologists and advanced practice anesthesia providers at Orlando Health. The case mix ranges from GI, Bariatrics, Plastics, Peds ENT, Ortho etc. The responsibility in this position is to deliver an exceptional patient experience with safe, up to date care, while acting as a catalyst to expand the organization’s mission and achieve its vision.
Essential Functions
- Collaborative member of anesthesiology department to work with surgeons, nurses, and other medical professionals
- Evaluate and formulate anesthetic plan for patients undergoing surgical and/or diagnostic care
- Supervision/Medical Direction of certified anesthetists delivering anesthesia
- Personally administer anesthesia intraoperatively with continuous monitoring of vital signs and titration of anesthesia needed

- Call: None, no nights, weekends or holidays.
- Maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures
- Attends and participates in departmental meetings and educational initiatives
- Teach student anesthetists, residents, fellows or other learners
Role Requirements
- Anesthesiologists must be either an M.D. or D.O. with the completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Anesthesiology Residency program.
- Board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology
- Anesthesiologist must complete and meet hospital credentialing requirements.
- Training in advanced regional anesthesia and nerve blocks highly preferred
- Must hold or be able to obtain active Florida medical license prior to start
- Not a J-1 sponsored position.
Experience
- Private practice and ASC experience preferred.
