Breast Imaging Radiologist

Dartmouth Health’s Department of Radiology is seeking a Breast Imaging Radiologist to join our practice in the beautiful Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont.  Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, the system’s central clinical hub and Academic Medical Center, is located immediately adjacent to bustling college town of Hanover, NH. Hanover is home to the world-renowned Dartmouth College and Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Dartmouth Health Radiology is home to a world-class breast imaging section focused on delivering efficient, productive, and cutting-edge clinical care; a robust and growing educational program for students, residents, and fellows; and scholarly activity focused on collaboration with others inside and outside the Department.  Numerous opportunities for professional growth are available, including in clinical excellence and in numerous other areas, depending on the interest of the candidate. Position Summary Dartmouth Health is seeking a fellowship-trained Breast Imager to join the breast imaging division at the level of an Assistant, Associate, or (Full) Professor, depending on the level of experience. All candidates who have an interest in teaching and being in an academic environment, including candidates with little direct personal academic experience, are welcomed to apply. The ideal candidate will have a record of aspiring towards clinical excellence. The candidate being sought will participate in the delivery of cutting-edge breast imaging all-tomosynthesis screening mammography, diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MR, and breast biopsies. Dartmouth Radiology hosts multiple outstanding residencies, including in Diagnostic Radiology and an integrated DR/IR program. The Department is a national leader in the science of teaching radiology to medical students. All faculty participate in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. There is a strong desire to continue to expand our educational offerings. The Department values patient-centered care and a highly collaborative, respectful, caring, and engaging work environment. There is a strong working relationship with other Departments including oncology and breast surgery and the section participates in regular multidisciplinary meetings. The Department and Dartmouth Health The selected candidate will join Dartmouth Health’s 60 radiologists. We are an internationally-known Department with a deep history in the field, beginning with acquiring the first clinically x-ray in the United States in 1896. • Diagnostic Radiology Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Fellowship-trained or relevant experience with a keen interest in breast imaging
• Must obtain and maintain a medical license in both New Hampshire and Vermont
• The ability to be appointed at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor rank, depending on experience. Experience or interest in having a local and/or national reputation of clinical excellence and teaching skill preferred.
