  • Oversee management and care for patients in the Stroke/Adult General Neurology service, including evaluation and treatment of acute stroke, neurovascular diseases, and complex neurological conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including Anesthesia, Critical Care, Neurosurgery, and Neurology, to ensure comprehensive patient management.
  • Participate in daily rounds with the Neuro ICU team and Stroke/General Neurology service, providing expert neurological consultation and decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices, clinical pathways, and protocols for stroke and neurocritical care.
  • Engage in teaching and mentoring residents, fellows, and medical students, sharing your expertise in neurocritical care, stroke management, and general neurology.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care, safety, and outcomes.
  • Opportunity for involvement in clinical research and academic development within the Neurocritical Care and Stroke specialties.

Required Qualifications:

  • MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency program.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.
  • Expertise in Neurocritical Care with a strong understanding of acute neurological disorders, neurointensive care, and stroke management.
  • Stroke or Vascular Neurology Fellowship (preferred, or willingness to pursue fellowship if not already completed).
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of NC
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Work Schedule & Location:

  • Full-time position with the option for a split role between Neurohospitalist and Neurocritical Care duties.
