Job Description

As one of the leading anesthesiology training programs in the country, the Department of Anesthesiology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine seeks to expand its team by hiring Academic Faculty Physicians in Regional, Cardiothoracic & Critical Care Anesthesia. This strategic hiring initiative aims to enhance the department's expertise, research capabilities, and clinical services, furthering its commitment to providing exceptional care and advancing medical knowledge. Joining the team offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research, mentor medical students and residents, and deliver comprehensive anesthesia care to patients in a collaborative and innovative environment. The Department of Anesthesiology faculty is comprised of 120+ practicing physicians and academic researchers. Many of our clinical faculty have completed advanced training and are specialists in a subspecialty of anesthesiology. Our department offers fellowships in Cardiothoracic Anesthesia, Obstetric Anesthesia, Pain Medicine, Regional Anesthesia, Pain Management and Internal Medicine/Critical Care. Many of our faculty serve on Editorial Boards and are reviewers for major peer-reviewed medical journals.

 

Education & Experience:

• ACGME or non-ACGME Fellowship, or equivalent experience required
