Pediatric Sleep Medicine
The Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at Children’s Mercy Kansas City is seeking a physician who is board-certified/eligible in pediatrics and sleep medicine to join the current faculty of 11.
The division is comprised of General Pulmonary Medicine, the Children’s Sleep Center, and an active Cystic Fibrosis Care Center. The Sleep Center currently includes four sleep physicians, two nurse practitioners, a sleep psychologist, and CPAP coordinator. We are seeking a fifth physician. Our Sleep Laboratory is AASM accredited and includes six beds with additional portable units, operates seven nights per week, and performs 1800 polysomnograms per year. An expansion of the Sleep Laboratory has been approved by hospital administration and will include 14 beds. We have an active research program and an ACGME accredited Pediatric Sleep Fellowship Program.
Candidates should be board-certified/eligible in pediatrics and sleep medicine, have established clinical skills, an interest in scholarly activity and a willingness to participate in education activities. We accept J-1/H-1 visa candidates. Academic appointment is with the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience and credentials.
