Dartmouth Health’s Department of Radiology is seeking a part time/per diem/second job evening and nighttime radiologist to join our Emergency Radiology imaging division. Our practice is located in the beautiful Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont.  Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, the system’s central clinical hub and Academic Medical Center, is located immediately adjacent to bustling college town of Hanover, NH. Hanover is home to the world-renowned Dartmouth College and Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. All radiologists at Dartmouth Health, including those serving in part time and per diem roles, are appointed as Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or full Professors at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Faculty have access to the full academic and cultural resources of the health system, Dartmouth College, and the Geisel School of Medicine. Position Summary Dartmouth Health is seeking an evening and nighttime radiologist to join our Emergency Radiology imaging division. We are open to candidates wishing to take on a limited part time role to augment their primary employment, or radiologists cutting back and wishing to have a part time role. Part time roles can be structured with a defined number of work shifts per year or can be organized in an “as needed” per diem way.  All candidates who have an interest in teaching are welcome to teach our brilliant radiology residents at the workstation, or potentially even give lectures (which is entirely optional). We find many people enjoy being in an academic environment, including candidates with little personal academic experience. Above all, we prize clinical excellence. Evening and overnight work consists of a standard emergency radiology case mix, comprised mostly of straight forward x-rays, CTs, and Ultrasounds. We have limited overnight, and evening MRs acquired as well. Our evening and overnight coverage is a team model, so candidates with specific strengths or weakness can often be accommodated. Dartmouth Radiology hosts multiple outstanding residencies, including in Diagnostic Radiology and an integrated DR/IR program. Residents participating in 24 hr. coverage of the ED, and therefore they work alongside our emergency radiology team. The Department and Dartmouth Health The selected candidate will join Dartmouth Health’s 60 attending radiologists. We are an internationally known Department with a deep history in the field, beginning with acquiring the first clinically x-ray in the United States in 1896. While Dartmouth Health includes many hospitals and clinic sites, this position is based at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, our tertiary care central hub which also serves as the system’s Academic Medical Center. DHMC is the state’s only Level 1 trauma center, a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and is home to a fleet of helicopter and ground-based medical transport services. Dartmouth Health maintains a total of 802 beds, with 458 located at DHMC. Required Licensure/Certifications

  • Diagnostic Radiology Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Must obtain and maintain a medical license in both New Hampshire and Vermont
  • The ability to be appointed at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or full Professor rank, depending on experience.
