Plastic Surgeon - Hand and Peripheral Nerve Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center – Lebanon, NH

Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC), a leading academic medical center, seeks a skilled and highly motivated plastic surgeon with a special focus on hand surgery and peripheral nerve surgery to join our renowned team. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, a commitment to education, and a passion for advancing the field of plastic surgery through research and innovation. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, contributing to our mission of advancing health through research, education, clinical practice, and community partnerships. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of plastic surgery procedures, with a focus on hand and peripheral nerve surgeries
  • Provide comprehensive care for patients with hand injuries, congenital anomalies, and degenerative conditions
  • Conduct peripheral nerve surgeries, including nerve decompression, repair, and reconstruction
  • Participate in the education and training of medical students and residents from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Appointment via the Geisel School of Medicine may be Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience.
  • Engage in clinical research to advance the field of plastic surgery, particularly in hand and peripheral nerve specialties
  • Collaborate with other specialties to provide integrated care for complex cases
Qualifications
  • MD, DO, or equivalent degree
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited plastic surgery residency program
  • Fellowship training in hand surgery and/or peripheral nerve surgery strongly preferred
  • Board certification or eligibility in plastic surgery
  • Ability to obtain a NH Medical license
  • Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centered care
  • Demonstrated interest in academic medicine and research
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
