Overview:

Outpatient MAT Opioid Treatment Program (OTP)

 

We are seeking a Part-Time Physician looking to enter into this specialty and provide services to Seymour Comprehensive Treatment Center in Seymour, IN.  Previous experience in a MAT program is not required.

 

Monday to Friday, 6.30am - 12.30pm

Seymour Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) offers outpatient treatment for adults aged 18 and older of all genders who are struggling with opioid use disorder. The center, which is located in Seymour, IN, provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT).

 

Overview:

The Physician is responsible for the provision of medical services to patients include prescribing, dispensing and administration of medication for the treatment of substance use disorders in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Responsible for medical management of patients at all levels of care provided by the clinic. Conduct complete physicals, provide treatment and counsel to patients. Provides medical oversight to the nursing department under the guidance of the Medical Director and Clinic Director.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for providing medical care for prescribing, dispensing and administration of medication to patients at the clinic, and within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility or clinic policy or procedures;
  • Performs physical exams on patients admitted for medication maintenance to establish medical diagnosis for acute and chronic health problems;
  • Reviews medical information on patients to ensure medical stability, eligibility for program, and to offer medical recommendations;
  • Ensuring that all patients are aware of the hazards of the medication treatment program;
  • Evaluates patient care, adjusting the plan of care based on outcomes, diagnostic test results and patient feedback;
  • Provides patient and staff education on medical maintenance;
  • Reviews and completes medical information for individual care plans, documenting services and information in a timely manner, maintaining appropriate confidential documentation, compliance, and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures;
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF standards, and clinic policy and procedure; and,
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time; and,
  • Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.


Qualifications:

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Licensed Physician in the state of -Indiana
  • Experience in addiction treatment not required

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current license to practice medicine by the state in which the clinic(s) operates
  • Current DEA credentials required to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working
