Academic General Pathologist

he Department of Pathology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine is seeking academic surgical pathologists with specialized training in Genitourinary, GI and Liver, Gynecologic, Bone and Soft Tissue, or Pediatric/Perinatal Pathology to join our growing team at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in High Point, NC.

Work in a Supportive & Collaborative Environment:

As part of our subspecialty-focused surgical pathology division, you will collaborate with clinicians and researchers to provide advanced diagnostic care while supporting cutting-edge research initiatives. You will also play a vital role in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Department Highlights:

Surgical Pathology is a subspecialty of Anatomic Pathology focusing on the diagnosis of disease through tissue analysis. The division is dedicated to subspecialty sign-out practices, supported by pathologists with fellowship training in various specialties.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree with certification by the American Board of Pathology (ABP) in Anatomic Pathology (AP) or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP).
  • Demonstrated scholarly achievements, including teaching experience and a robust publication record.
  • Eligibility for or possession of a current North Carolina medical license.
  • Fellowship training in one or more of the specified subspecialties is highly preferred.
