Overview:

Serve as a Thoracic Surgeon in the Army Reserve (part-time). Work alongside Army medical professionals in developing and performing surgeries for patients with injuries or disorders. Lead medical units, provide patient care, conduct medical research on diseases, and develop disease prevention and health programs to help improve patient outcomes and advance treatment practices the medical field.

Army Reserve (Part-time)

  • Loan Repayment: Receive $250,000 in student loan repayment in $40,000 annual payments to qualifying federal student loans paid directly to the lending institution through the Health Professions Loan Repayment Program (HPLRP).
  • Sign-on Bonus: $75,000 paid annually for 2, 3, or 4-year committment. Must have completed a residency program in your specialty.
  • Location: Continue your civilian occupation while serving part-time with a local unit or through clinical training agreements in your area.
