Position Overview: Addiction Psychiatrist
- Location: Tufts Medical Center, Downtown Boston
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Inpatient Care: Addiction Consultation-Liaison (CL) with a multidisciplinary team (including resident physicians and social workers) to manage acute withdrawal syndromes and substance use disorder cases in hospitalized patients.
- Outpatient Care: Support expansion of Tufts’ Ambulatory Addiction services, collaborate with other departments, and provide long-term care for complex, dually-diagnosed patients.
- Academic Appointment: Faculty position with Tufts University School of Medicine based on experience and academic contributions.
Requirements:
- Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Training: Completion of ACGME- or AOA-accredited Adult Psychiatry Residency; Board Certified/Board Eligible in Adult Psychiatry.
- Licensure: Eligible for a Massachusetts medical license.
- Preferred: Fellowship training and/or Board Certification in Addiction Psychiatry.
