Bradley Hospital & Hasbro Children’s Hospital, affiliated hospitals of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Brown University Health, have an opening for a board certified or eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for a combined Emergency Services and Consult Liaison position. Opportunity for Brown University Clinical Faculty appointment if desired.

About the Job:

  • Treat children and teens presenting in behavioral health crisis in emergency department, urgent short-term clinic, and CL settings
  •  Some patients have co-existing medical and psychiatric disorders
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including child psychiatry trainees, NPs, PAs, LICSWs, LMHCs, and qualified mental health providers
  • Opportunities to teach and provide supervision
  • Work Monday through Friday, 8:00-4:30
  • Weeknight call is 8-9 nights (phone coverage from home) per year, weekend coverage at 3 or 4 times per year

About You:

  • Board certified or eligible (within 5 years of residency) physician with fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Rhode Island
  • Desire to work in a team-based care model
  • Bring a passion for helping children in complex social and/or medical situations
  • Good sense of humor, flexibility, ability to triage and prioritize dynamic clinical needs
