Brown Health Medical Group the affiliated partner of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University has an opening for a cardiologist specializing in advanced heart failure & transplant at Rhode Island & Miriam Hospitals in downtown Providence, RI.
 
About the opportunity:

  • Join a team of 40 cardiologists (all Cardiovascular sub-specialties) and 30 advanced practice providers
  • There are currently 3 other Advanced Heart Failure & 1 Transplant Cardiologists on staff
  • Teaching opportunity as faculty on hospital teaching services and Cardiology Fellowship
  • This is a “shared care model”
  • Time is split 1:4 weeks on the heart failure service
  • Weekend call 1:4
  • Night call is 1:15 (light from home)
  • Strong team of dedicated ancillary support staff
  • Opportunity additional invasive and non-invasive procedures
  • Academic appointment to Brown University
  • Potential to participate in research
  • H1b visa friendly

About you:

  • Strong desire to be part of a team
  • Bring a passion for the work and the capacity to find the joy in it
  • Board certified or eligible in Advance Heart Failure
  • Fellowship training in Advance Heart Failure & Transplant
  • Additional training in Echocardiography a plus but not required
  • A track record of excellence in teaching and patient care in an environment that fosters diversity and inclusion.
