Part-Time Family Medicine or Pediatric Physician Opportunity -€“ Staunton, VA

Liberty Point Behavioral Healthcare, located in the picturesque Shenandoah Valley in Staunton, Virginia, is currently seeking a dedicated Part-Time Family Medicine Physician or Pediatrician. This position focuses on providing compassionate care to male patients ages 12-17 in a residential treatment setting. Liberty Point is a 58-bed facility offering intensive residential treatment for young men diagnosed with psychiatric conditions, intellectual disabilities (IQ 45-75), Autism Spectrum Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and other dual diagnoses with significant medical comorbidities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work 4-8 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
• Perform comprehensive medical evaluations, including History and Physical exams for new admissions.
• Manage medication and provide ongoing medical and diagnostic evaluations.
• Participate in clinical staff meetings and offer in-depth consultations with the care team.
• Provide on-call support via phone/text on a rotating schedule.
• Ensure proper documentation of all patient sessions and support utilization review protocols.
• Collaborate with a highly skilled, interdisciplinary team in a supportive and collegial work environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with psychiatric patients is required.
• The ability to provide holistic care to adolescents patients
• Licensed to practice medicine in Virginia.
