Venesco, LLC is actively recruiting an Interventional Radiologist to provide services at the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the lives of US veterans who have served our country.

Position Overview:

The Interventional Radiologist will provide coverage for a full-time physician’s leave and sick time, in addition to offering on-call services.

  • Regular Backfill Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • On-Call Hours:
    • Monday to Friday: 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
    • Saturday and Sunday: 24 hours

You will work within the standards set by the American College of Radiology (ACR) to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications:

  1. Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)

  2. Education: Graduate from an accredited medical school in the U.S. or Canada. Graduates from foreign medical schools must provide proof of equivalent education and certification (e.g., ECFMG certification).

  3. Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA-approved internship and residency program. At least 1 year of supervised experience in a clinical setting post-degree is required.

  4. License: Must hold a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state, territory, or D.C. Physicians with previous license restrictions or revocations will not be considered.

  5. Board Certification: Candidates must be Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology. Certification must be current, with required continuing education maintained throughout the contract.

  6. Technical Proficiency: Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the required clinical skills, including fluency in English. Proof of ongoing competency and certification must be provided.

  7. Continuing Medical Education (CME): Candidates must meet CME requirements as requested by the facility. Documentation of CME hours is necessary for privileging and re-privileging.
