Join a team that’s Changing What’s Possible – The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a BC/BE Pediatrician to join their six pediatricians in 3 thriving practice sites in the Greater Charleston area. This position is expected to roughly divide time at the Summey Medical Pavilion Primary Care practice, the new MUSC Children's Health Daniel Island practice, and the Maybank Highway John’s Island practice. The provider will be a full member of the Division of General Pediatrics, sharing newborn and circumcision weekend and holiday coverage at the Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital. There are ample opportunities for teaching and if desired spending a week in the in the newborn weekly rounding schedule.
The Division of General Pediatrics at MUSC is a cornerstone of the Department of Pediatrics, known for its extensive contributions to patient care, education, research, and leadership. Providing excellent care in ambulatory and nursery settings, the Division also plays a vital role in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Its members are integral to training program organization and are regularly recognized for their teaching excellence.
The Division’s research program is robust, securing nearly $1 million annually, making it a leader in pediatric research both regionally and nationally. Members of the Division are active in leadership roles within the department and hold prestigious positions in regional and national organizations.
