The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Ochsner Children’s Hospital is seeking a board eligible/board certified pediatric gastroenterologist to join two experienced pediatric gastroenterologists at its expanding pediatric multi-specialty practice at the Shaquille O'Neal Pediatric Super Clinic in Baton Rouge, LA. Fully integrated with our New Orleans-based subspecialty divisions, our Baton Rouge-based subspecialists are also supported locally by a robust pediatric primary care network, pediatric therapy services and state-of-the-art endoscopy suite.

Opportunity Details:

  • Primarily clinic-based position with citywide call shared among a collegial group of experienced pediatric gastroenterologists.

  • State of the art endoscopy suite with impedance, pH, and manometry capability co-located with the clinic at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove

  • Close collaboration with 7 New Orleans-based partners, including specialists in intestinal rehabilitation, pancreatology, advanced endoscopy, IBD, neurogastroenterology & motility and hepatology & liver transplant.

  • Additional multidisciplinary programs offered in Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing, Aerodigestive care, Disorders of Gut-Brain Interaction, and Colorectal disorders.

  • Integrated practice model with strong, internal referral network

  • EPIC medical record platform utilized throughout Ochsner Health

In addition to patient care, Ochsner Children’s Hospital has an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program and is responsible for teaching pediatric residents from the Tulane-Ochsner Pediatric Residency program as well as medical students from both Tulane and the University of Queensland. Ochsner Health and Xavier University of Louisiana recently announced an agreement to establish a joint College of Medicine.
