The Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute (CMHVI) seeks a Vascular Surgeon to join an established program in Lewiston-Auburn, Maine, serving the population of Central Maine. The Surgeon will join a Service Line division that has provided the full breadth of vascular care including a wide range of complex peripheral revascularizations, aortic reconstruction, and endovascular procedures. The Vascular Surgery division works closely with cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, cardiology, and trauma surgery, and has dedicated beds in the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Unit. There is a dedicated Endovascular Suite, Pre and Post cardio-vascular unit, and a functional hybrid OR with the latest in portable C-Arm technology.
The ideal candidate will have completed an accredited Vascular Surgery Fellowship training program, and have 3+ years of experience. It is preferred the candidate have a broad skill set and interest in all facets of vascular surgery and is ABS certified. Particular interests will be supported. The surgeon must be able to work as a team within the CMHVI service line. No general surgery is required and call obligations will be limited and flexible based on the size of the team.
