Assistant Professor/Associate Professor-Transplant Surgeon w/ University of Louisville School of Medicine

The Department of Surgery, Division of Transplantation at the University of Louisville School of Medicine is actively recruiting a tenure-track multiorgan abdominal transplant surgeon at the Assistant Professor/Associate Professor level for our adult liver, kidney, and pancreas transplantation program. Experience in hepatobiliary and living donor kidney transplant is preferred but not required. Faculty rank and financial compensation is commensurate with experience and credentials.

Required Credentials

A successful candidate must possess the following:

  • A MD or equivalent degree
  • Eligible for a full medical license to practice in Kentucky
  • Qualifications for a University of Louisville faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank with demonstrated track record in clinical, translational, and basic science research
  • ASTS accredited fellowship training and certification in liver, kidney, and pancreas transplant
  • Board certified or eligible in surgery
  • Candidates must have experience in liver, kidney transplantation, as well as multi-organ donor procurements
  • Experience in living-donor liver transplantation is appreciated
