Full Time - General Psychiatrist
Valley Behavioral Health is a 114 bed facility, located on a beautiful campus in the Arkansas River Valley, Valley Behavioral Health offers the highest quality treatment in the area.
Our sub-acute inpatient, inpatient, and outpatient programs for men, women, and children provides a safe structure where individuals can focus on healing themselves and working though their issues. At Valley Behavioral Health all of our levels of care & treatment services are under the medical direction of board certified psychiatrists, with each patient receiving personalized treatment by a multi-disciplinary team of therapists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, educational specialist, Advanced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, recreational specialists, and a team of other caring mental health professionals. Overview:
Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
- Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
- Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
- Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
- Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
- Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
- One or more years€™ post graduate degree practice preferred.
- Licensed in the the state in which the facility(s) operate.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Board certification in psychiatry
- Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
