Pediatric Hospital Medicine Opportunities (Louisville, KY)
Norton Children’s and the University of Louisville School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist to join our growing practice in Louisville, Kentucky. The right physician will join our academic team that includes 28 Hospitalists, four Nurse Clinicians, and two administrative support staff members. All Norton Children’s Medical Group Hospitalists see general pediatric inpatients at Norton Children's Hospital, our free-standing, tertiary referral site as well as at Norton Women's and Children's Hospital, our suburban, community site. All Hospitalists are involved in medical student and resident education as well as academic scholarship and opportunities for quality improvement, clinical operations, and freedom to pursue other academic interests.
Understanding the ongoing transition in Pediatric Hospital Medicine at this time, we are pleased to consider candidates who are Board Certified, Board Eligible, and non-Board Eligible in Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
The 20+ year old Pediatric Hospitalist program is part of the Norton Children’s Medical Group whose medical facilities serve more than 170,000 patients each year. Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital offers inpatient care including a 48-bed neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), a sleep center, a rehabilitation center and pediatric emergency services, plus specialized care for pediatric urology and gynecology patients. Norton Children’s Hospital serves as the primary pediatric teaching facility for the University of Louisville School of Medicine and has Louisville’s only Level 1 pediatric trauma center and one of the largest Level IV NICUs in the country.
