First Physicians Group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking BC/BE Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine physicians to join their employed physician group on the West Coast of Florida.

FPG Pulmonology specializes in the areas of Pulmonology, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. This premier group of over 15 Physicians and 25 Advanced Practice Providers has been delivering exceptional care to the residents of the Suncoast for the last 30 years.

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is one of the largest public health systems in Florida.  This regional health system offers Southwest Florida’s greatest breadth and depth of care, with more than 10,000 employees and 1.7 million patient visits each year across its two hospital campuses, freestanding ER, skilled nursing and rehabilitation center, cancer institute, behavior health pavilion and regional network of outpatient/urgent care centers and physician practices. 

Role & Responsibilities:

• Prospective applicants will provide a mix of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine with a potential for developing a sub-specialized practice, throughout Sarasota Memorial Intensive Care, Pulmonary consultation services, and outpatient clinics.     
• Approximately 75% hospital and 25% office-based work dependent on the needs of the group.
• Shifts will be worked at both SMH-Sarasota and SMH-Venice Hospitals and respective clinics.
• Night and weekend coverage is shared equally among the group, no call responsibilities while working the outpatient rotation.
• Advanced Practice Provider and Internal Medicine resident support is present 24 hours daily.
• Outpatient clinics are equipped with full PFT lab and ultrasound guided procedural room. 
• Our Board-Certified Sleep Medicine physicians supervise an accredited sleep lab.  
• A dedicated, well-equipped bronchoscopy suite with state-of-the-art equipment is run by experienced respiratory therapists.
• Anesthesia services are readily available for procedural support.
• Thoracic oncology program includes an active tumor board, multi-disciplinary cancer care lung cancer screening.
• Teaching opportunities with Florida State University Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine residents and medical students.  Clinical research opportunities are available.

• Compensation includes a Base salary, APP supervision stipend, Productivity and Quality incentive bonuses.
• Relocation Allowance and a Commencement bonus is provided.
