Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Division Chief for the Central Region, Neonatology, to provide overall academic and clinical leadership with the goal of elevating the regional reputation of the Division. This position reports to the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics.
Working collaboratively with the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics, the Division Chief will lead and expand the clinical, academic/research and administrative functions, and participate in the planning for short and long range growth of the Division of Neonatology in the region and throughout the network.
This growth will include creating and executing strategic initiatives to mentor physician faculty and enhancement of educational opportunities for the nursing staff and other providers.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of proven clinical, academic and administrative leadership, be board certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and be eligible for faculty appointment at Hackensack Meridian Health Medical School.
The Division of Neonatology in the Central Region has a 14 (8+6)-bed level-II NICU at both hospitals (JFK UMC and RBMC) with nearly 2500 deliveries and about 250 NICU admissions annually.
