Valley Health Medical Group is seeking a Colorectal Surgeon to provide joint services in Oncology and General Surgery. The applicant will join an established surgical team at VH Winchester Medical Center (WMC), a tertiary care referral hospital and Level II Trauma Center. WMC is a part of Valley Health, a regional non-profit organization that includes six hospitals. WMC was designated for 2023-2024 as “High Performing in Colon Cancer Surgery” by US News and World Report.  VHMG is a multispecialty group with over 300 providers that span over the Shenandoah Valley and WV panhandle.

 

Winchester Medical Center offers state of the art operating rooms, a 48-bed intensive care unit staffed by a dedicated critical care service, a sixty-bed Emergency Department that sees 65,000+ patients a year, dedicated Trauma and Acute Care Surgery service, and a full complement of medical and surgical specialties.   The Colorectal Surgeon will work with another Colorectal Surgeon and two Surgical Oncologists in providing care for cancer patients at our state-of-the-art Cancer Center, as well as be involved in the maintenance of the Cancer Center’s Rectal Cancer accreditation through the NAPRC. Further, the surgeon will work with General Surgeons and Gastroenterologists on the management of benign diseases of the colon and rectum.
