Thoracic Surgery in Virginia

Opportunity to treat thoracic and esophageal diseases in the Shenandoah Valley. The candidate will have an affiliation with our Cancer Center, a large role in established Tumor Boards, the opportunity to participate in clinical trials, and vast array of educational activities.  Practice includes all aspects of thoracic surgery (exclusive of lung transplantation).   Step into a turn-key practice with an established referral base that is complimented by a Thoracic Surgeon, APP’s and other surgeons in a hospital employed setting with high quality work life balance.

  • Treat a wide array of benign and malignant thoracic and esophageal diseases
  • Large network of providers offers a strong referral base
  • STS 2-Star lobectomy lung program, and 2-Star esophageal program
  • 48 bed ICU with round-the-clock intensivist coverage
  • CoC-accredited Cancer Center with the opportunity to collaborate with 8 Medical Oncologist, 2 Radiation Oncologists, and 2 Surgical Oncologists
  • Engaged pulmonology practice with five pulmonologists
    • EBUS, Ion Robotic bronchoscopy (first in Mid Atlantic),and  Interventional procedural expertise
  • Established da Vinci Xi robotic surgery program
  • GO2 for Lung Cancer Center of Excellence
  • Opportunity for fast practice growth- large system-wide PCP and oncology referral base, lung nodule clinic, and LDCT screening program
