ADULT CONGENITAL HEART DISEASE PHYSICIAN

  • Accepting applicants from adult cardiology and pediatric cardiology paths
  • Growing practice with more than 1,300 adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) patients
  • Dedicated ACHD team of three physicians, two nurse practitioners, a nurse clinician and a social worker
  • ACHD surgical program and ACHD catheterization and electrophysiology programs with capabilities for complex interventions, including
    transcatheter pulmonary valve replacement and temporary mechanical support (intra-aortic balloon pump, Impella heart pump)
  • Collaboration with the Norton Heart & Vascular Institute Structural Heart Program for additional complex interventions, including transcatheter
    tricuspid and aortic valve replacement and MitraClip procedure
  • Collaboration with local adult-service hospital’s ventricular assist device program
  • New catheterization and electrophysiology lab and cardiac intensive care unit
  • CT scan and MRI capability with 3-tesla Philips MRI scanners
  • Transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography
  • Opportunity for ACHD travel clinic

REQUIREMENTS

  • Medical Degree/Diploma
  • Residency/fellowship certification
  • Kentucky medical license or license eligible
