Mercy Health Defiance is seeking a dedicated and skilled Pulmonary Critical Care Physician to join our esteemed medical team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct office visits in the outpatient clinic setting.
• Perform surgeries at the Mercy Health Defiance location.
• Provide consults at Mercy Health Defiance Hospital.
• Collaborate with the Toledo call group for provider call coverage.
• Option to provide telemedicine services.
Special Skills and Expertise:
• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
• Critical Care Medicine
• Interventional Pulmonology
• Pulmonary Hypertension
• Sleep Medicine
Support and Resources:
• Onsite RT, Radiology, and Laboratory Services
• Sleep Lab on site
• LPNs and RNs to assist with patient care
• Ancillary services including Radiology, PT/OT, Speech Pathology, and Social Work
• Access to various clinic practices for referrals, including primary care, surgery, cardiology, OB/GYN, orthopedics, podiatry, wound care, neurology, oncology, pain management, diabetic education, and behavioral health.
Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Weekend work varies based on call schedule. Expect 5 (8-hour) days per week with up to 10 call days.

Defiance, Ohio, is a vibrant city with a population of 17,000 and is situated conveniently between Toledo and Fort Wayne, as well as Lima. The larger Defiance County has a population of 38,000 and features five school systems and a local college, Defiance College. The area offers easy travel on Route 24, ensuring a connected and accessible community.
