Opportunity Details

Albany Medical college is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Transplant Surgeon to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will have an MD or equivalent, be Board eligible or Board certified in Transplant Surgery, have completed a fellowship training at an ASTS-certified transplant surgery training program, and be eligible for a New York Medical License. The ideal candidate should have skills and experience in kidney, liver and pancreas transplantation, proficiency in multi-organ deceased donor organ procurement. Candidates are also expected to perform general and vascular access surgeries and should be committed to excellence in quality and patient safety. The candidate will also have an active role in the education and teaching of medical students and residents. The position comes with an academic appointment commensurate from experience.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/Board-eligible in Transplant surgery
  • Able to provide surgical case log indicating active current experience
  • Team oriented with ability to work and interact with residents, fellow physicians, and administration, as well as provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients
  • Kidney and Pancreas certification required. Liver certification ideal

Benefits:

  • Highly competitive salary with incentive bonus, Rich benefits package including malpractice coverage and retirement plan. The salary range $320K- $448K is commensurate with the level of academic appointment.
