The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Health at Children’s Mercy Kansas City is seeking a full time Board Certified (or Certification in Process) Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team. The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Health currently consists of 10 Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists along with Developmental Pediatricians and doctorate level psychologists.
Children’s Mercy is launching a partial hospitalization program to serve youth with medical/psychiatric complexity and youth who present with developmental differences and severe behavior. The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Health is recruiting a psychiatrist with broad training in clinical child/pediatric psychiatry to provide leadership in the development and staffing of this interdisciplinary program. The ideal candidate would have experience with psychiatric care for children and adolescents and have experience with program leadership with a multidisciplinary team. An Associate Professor rank or higher is also preferred. Teaching of residents in psychiatry and pediatrics as well as medical students and psychology interns is balanced with clinical duties. Faculty appointment is with the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine.
