RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Chair of Pediatrics and Pediatrician-in-Chief for the Children's Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. We seek a visionary leader for the Children's Hospital of New Jersey (CHoNJ) at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center who will lead the growth of pediatric programs for the children of Newark and of the surrounding counties. The Chair/Pediatrician-in-Chief will work collaboratively with physician, nursing and administrative leadership to establish and achieve CHoNJ’s strategic goals and who will inspire and develop others.
The selected leader will be responsible for the development of inpatient and ambulatory programs that result in the sustained growth of the CHoNJ and Department of Pediatrics and will supervise all activities with a focus on quality, safety, and patient engagement. The Chair is responsible for all teaching activities within the department, including undergraduate, graduate, and continuing educational programs.
The Chair/Pediatrician-in-Chief will be a key leader within the RWJBarnabas Health Children’s Health Network, New Jersey’s largest provider of pediatric healthcare.

The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $400,000 to $700,000 per year.
The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.
