Key Position Details:

We are seeking a full-time Interventional Radiologist to join our team at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. This role includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, with call and rounding duties. The selected candidate will play a key role in advancing an independent interventional radiology department, separate from diagnostic radiology, at one of the Twin Cities' leading tertiary hospitals.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a full spectrum of image-guided procedures, image interpretation, and patient care within Interventional Radiology.
  • Dedicated clinic time
  • Perform a broad range of interventional procedures, including:
    • TIPS/BRTO
    • IO including Radioembolization (Y90) and Ablation
    • Peripheral arterial and venous interventions (thrombolysis, angioplasty, stenting)
    • Hepatobiliary, GI, lymphatic, and genitourinary interventions
    • Embolization procedures
    • Dialysis access management
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring continuous enhancements in patient care, workflow efficiency, and clinical outcomes.
  • Participate in call coverage and provide expert consultation to referring physicians.
  • Collaborate in the development of policies and procedures for the interventional radiology department.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education & Training:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Completed an ACGME or AOA-accredited Radiology Residency program.
  • Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology, Vascular/Endovascular, or related specialties.

Experience & Certifications:

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Radiology, Neurosurgery, or Neurology.
  • Minnesota Medical License (or eligibility to obtain before start date).
  • One of the following Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications:
    • American Heart Association (AHA)
    • American Red Cross (ARC)
    • Allina Health in-house BLS training (upon hire)

Physical & Work Environment:

  • Medium Work: Regularly lifting up to 32 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. frequently.
  • Ability to use computer systems for image review, reporting, and communication with a diverse healthcare team.

Compensation:

In addition to the base salary, we offer generous call pay and incentive compensation.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $518,500 to $576,500 per year

The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
