Welcome to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center(TTUHSC), where a dedication to education, patient care, and research has impacted the health of West Texas and beyond for more than 50 years. We meet the healthcare needs of more than 2.75 million people who live throughout a vast 108-county stretching from the Texas Panhandle south to the Permian Basin and west into Eastern New Mexico.
Our passion, since our founding in 1969, has been improving health outcomes in the most unreached, underserved communities in West Texas and around the world. If you share that passion – if medicine is as much a vocation as an occupation for you – then you’ll find a curriculum and a community ready to make your life our purpose. Welcome to your future. We have established ourselves as a leader in education and patient care and continue to build a top-ranked research environment with significant studies underway in areas such as aging, cancer, reproduction, genetic diseases, and rural health.
As a comprehensive health sciences center, our mission is to enrich the lives of others by educating students to become collaborative healthcare professionals, providing excellent patient care, and advancing knowledge through innovative research
TTUHSC educates students, provides patient care, and conducts biomedical and clinical research. We graduate the most healthcare professionals in the state of Texas. Nationally recognized for innovative programs, academic achievement, and cutting-edge research, we are training the next generation of highly qualified health professionals.
