Psychiatrist - Maternal Mental Health: Newport Beach, CA

Hoag Health, Orange County's top ranked hospital system is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist to support their Maternal health/perinatal program. This is a unique opportunity to join a reputable healthcare system in beautiful Newport Beach, CA and provide a valuable service to patients during pregnancy and post-partum.

Responsibilities

• The Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric evaluations for Hoag patients in the outpatient setting in person or via synchronous telehealth.
• Provide expert consultations for admitted maternity patients at Hoag Hospital’s Newport Beach and Irvine campuses.
• Part time position. 2 days/week with no weekend coverage required. Approximate hours 8:00am-5:00pm.
• Growing program with support from Hoag Women’s Health Institute

Requirements

• Board Certification - or Board eligible - in Psychiatry with experience in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry
• Specialty training in Perinatal & Reproductive Psychiatry
• MD or DO degree, and completion of ACGME accredited residency in Psychiatry
• Active, unrestricted California Medical License, or eligible for California State Medical Licensure
• Active DEA license
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team setting and a passion for providing excellent clinical care
