Neurologist with Headache fellowship training

Applications are invited for a full-time faculty position for a board- certified or board-eligible Neurologist with Headache fellowship training. The Department of Neurology at Albany Medical Center, part of the Albany Med Health System. Albany Medical Center, home to Albany Medical College, is the only academic medical center in northeastern New York.

The Department of Neurology has established programs in general neurology, epilepsy, dementia, movement disorders, neuromuscular disease, pediatric neurology, pain and headache management and stroke/neurocritical care. Successful candidates will focus primarily on outpatient headache neurology in two locations in the Capital Region. In addition, the position offers opportunities to work with and supervise medical students, residents, APPs and 1 pain/headache fellow/year.

Recruitment Package:

Albany Med offers a highly competitive salary and compensation package including:

• Rich benefits package including malpractice coverage and retirement plan.
• Salary commensurate with the level of academic appointment that does not include incentive bonus that is paid quarterly, which adds to the total compensation.

Compensation:

The salary range $230-260K represents base salaries for an Assistant or Associate Professor’s appointment. They do not include the incentive bonus that is paid quarterly, which adds significantly to the total compensation.
