The Renal and Pancreas Transplant Division at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (CBMC) is seeking a Transplant Nephrologist to join its renowned team.

• CBMC Transplant is one of the 10 largest kidney transplant programs in the U.S.
• Largest and most experienced program in New Jersey, with 393 kidney transplants performed in 2023
• Full-time, specialized transplant nephrology position with no general nephrology or chronic dialysis responsibilities
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of 8 transplant nephrologists and 4+ transplant surgeons

Candidate Requirements:

• BE/BC in Internal Medicine and Nephrology
• Training in renal and pancreas transplant (AST-certified fellowship preferred)
• Open to experienced nephrologists and current transplant fellows
• NJ licensed or eligible for licensure

Our Heart Centers offer a comprehensive array of cardiac services and procedures including Open Heart Surgery and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacements. The Cancer Center at CBMC — a clinical partner of Rutgers Cancer Institute — offers a coordinated program including Medical, Surgical and Radiation Oncology with the expertise and compassion to treat a wide

range of cancers and disease sites. For those with disorders of the chest, our thoracic surgery team provides the most appropriate minimally invasive surgical techniques. The majority of patients have video-assisted thoracoscopic, laparoscopic or robotic surgeries to minimize blood loss and reduce postoperative pain, resulting in shorter hospital stays and a faster recovery to daily activities. The Breast Center at the Ambulatory Care Center — one of the nation’s largest and most comprehensive breast diagnostic centers — performs close to 50,000 procedures annually with coordinated care and patient navigation to the medical and surgical expertise and services available through CBMC. The Breast Center now has a dedicated MRI enhancing the continuum of care for patients.

CBMC is accredited by The Joint Commission and the American Medical Association Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. The medical center is a major teaching affiliate of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. The medical staff representing 100 medical and surgical specialty and subspecialty services, shares medical expertise with medical students, residents and fellows.
