Assistant/Associate Professor/Professor Academic Otolaryngologist

The Division of Otolaryngology, Department of Surgery at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine and the University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking a General Otolaryngologist. Successful applicants will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in the clinical scholar pathway, commensurate with years of experience and accomplishments.

Applicants must be board-eligible or board-certified in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the State of Vermont and eligible to work in the United States. In addition to a strong clinical background in Otolaryngology, the candidate should have a demonstrable interest in pursuing research or teaching in an academic division which supports an active residency training program. This is a full-time, 12-month, salaried position with attending staff privileges at the University of Vermont Health Network. The primary clinical responsibilities for this position will be split between Central Vermont Medical Center and the University of Vermont Medical Center. These medical centers are located approximately 45 minutes apart with beautiful communities with excellent schools and an easy commute between the two hospitals. Loan repayment is available for eligible physicians.

Central Vermont Medical Center located in Berlin, VT, is just minutes from Montpelier, the state’s capital. This region of Vermont provides a unique blend of natural beauty, community, and historic charm. Central Vermont provides easy access to outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, kayaking and biking. Stowe and Sugarbush ski resorts are easily accessible to this region, both are a short and beautiful drive under 45 minutes from the hospital door.
