Cardiovascular Surgeon

Full-time opening in San Francisco, California

We are currently seeking a talented, ambitious, and team-oriented candidate to join one of our three main cardiac centers of excellence in San Francisco, California.

The Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center is a 250-bed quaternary care academic hospital. We are academically affiliated with Stanford and UCSF.  We are a multi-specialty practice supported by full-time PAs, intensivists, and hospitalists dedicated to the cardiac surgery service line.  We have a wide breadth of practice varying from standard coronary and valve cases to complex aortic, minimally invasive, and adult congenital cardiac surgery performing ~ 1000 open surgeries per year.   We also have a cutting-edge structural heart program involved with many clinical trials and new devices performing ~ 400 TAVRs per year.

  •        Join a robust, collegial practice with 7 total surgeons and a comprehensive multi-disciplinary heart team.
  •        Spectrum of cases include complex valvular disease, coronary bypass, complex aortic surgery, TAVR, and MIS
  •        Consistent referrals from the entire Northern California region.
  •        Strong focus on balancing case load and call for optimal life-work balance.
  •        Opportunities to teach and mentor cardiac surgical residents from UCSF.
  •        Research support for clinical outcome projects.

Full-time annual salary range is $550,020 to $566,580 plus additional potential incentives up to $167,720*. Reduced schedules with pro-rated compensation may be available. *Some incentive opportunities are estimates based on potential premium pay.
