Job Description

Join Our Team: Do Meaningful Work and Improve People’s Lives

Our purpose, to improve customers’ lives by making healthcare work better, is far from ordinary. And so are our teammates! Working at Kinwell means you have the opportunity to drive real change by transforming healthcare.

To better serve our customers, we’re creating a culture that promotes employee growth, collaborative innovation, and inspired leadership.

About the role of Primary Care Physician:

Are you looking for an opportunity to set a new standard for Primary Care, one based on the quality of care, not the quantity of patient visits?  Kinwell is hiring a Primary Care Physician to join one of our clinics in Spokane, Washington. We bring agility to work every day and thrive in the opportunity to create something refreshing and new. This is where you come in.

Kinwell is changing the conversation about healthcare to include wellness and prevention. We are also dedicated to building great places to work, where all teammates are valued and respected. We celebrate diversity of thought, ideas, and cultures--all focused on the common goal of nurturing the health of those we serve.

We’re a startup, determined to change the healthcare experience with more time, less complexity, more comfort, and perhaps most important--a better relationship between patients and their healthcare team. We are leveraging our investment from Washington’s largest not-for-profit health plan, Premera Blue Cross, to create a primary care offering that is holistic, seamless, and care centric.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to help us build something new.

  • Provide and manage direct patient care, including taking care of patients outside of the transaction.

  • Lead and be part of a team.

  • Commit to a differentiated experience new for each patient, every time.

  • Learn, grow and help others to do the same.

What you'll bring:

  • Currently licensed or able to be licensed in the state of Washington by hire date.

  • Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics or Geriatrics.

  • Unrestricted DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority.

  • Ability to be credentialed under Medicare.

  • Proficient in use of the EMR, with Epic experience strongly preferred.

  • Excellent critical thinking, flexibility, problem solving and communication skills. (Preferred)

  • Interest in community outreach efforts (PR, ambassador to community partners, onboarding/mentoring for new teammates). (Preferred)

What we’ll bring:

  • A patient centered compensation package that includes a competitive base with clear bonus incentives.

  • Incentives aligned to work that impact patient outcomes.

  • Generous signing bonus.

  • Physician leadership opportunities; site medical director stipend.

  • An operations model dedicated to holistic patient care, and to elevating work across the care team.

  • Epic EMR.

  • Malpractice with tail coverage.

  • Generous relocation package.

  • A sabbatical program.
