Job Description

Overview:

Full Time or Part Time Psychiatrist - ECT Interventional Psychiatry

 

We are looking for a psychiatrist that has previously performed ECT practices, OR a psychiatrist interested in learning!

 

The Aleph Center, a private practice group, and Sonora Behavioral Health Center are working together on providing ECT services.  We do over 200 treatments a month operating 5 days a week.  No weekends and call for the office is less than one in 4 weeks for occasional phone calls.   



Responsibilities:
  • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.


Qualifications:
  •  Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years' post graduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Board certification in psychiatry - do not need to have experience performing ECT services or consultations for ECT, we can train. 
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
