Critical Care Opportunity: Rutland, VT

Intensivist opening in Vermont Located in Rutland, VT Full-Time & Permanent Seeking a BE/BC Critical Care doctor to join hospital. - The unit is a 13-bed multidisciplinary Medical-Surgical unit. - The Critical Care team consists of 2.5 Intensivist FTEs and 3 Critical Care Advanced Practice Clinician FTEs. - The Intensivists function as the attendings for all Medical ICU admissions, and as consultants/co-managers for all Surgical ICU admissions. - We provide primary in-house day coverage, consult for the ED and inpatient services, and serve as a backup resource for the night in-house Advanced Practice Clinicians. - The right candidate will support trainee education and supervision for ICU rotations from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and various PA and NP programs. - A Clinical appointment at the University of Vermont College of Medicine is available. - The ICU has experienced nursing representation, strong respiratory care support, and a clinical pharmacist and nutritionist as part of the ICU team. - We also have an active palliative care support service integrated into our system of care. - We use the Cerner EMR and the GE PACS system. Location: Rutland is in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont just next door to Killington Resort which offers the longest ski season in the east as well as world-class mountain biking, golf, and hiking. 1.5 hours to Burlington, 3 hours to Boston and 4.5 hours to NYC.
