Assistant ED Program Director

Trinity Health Residency is seeking an Assistant Program Director (APD) to join the team to support the well-being and professional development of the residents within the Trinity Health community. 

The APD is expected to work 80 clinical hours a month

Monthly stipend given for administrative duties

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review and implement policies and protocols for the emergency department per best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the emergency residents.
• Evaluate the performance of residents, identify areas for improvement, and provide feedback and training as needed.
• Maintain a strong understanding of current medical research and trends in emergency medicine.

Qualifications:
• Medical degree from an accredited institution and current board certification in emergency medicine.

• A minimum of five years of experience in emergency medicine practice, with demonstrated leadership and management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of medical professionals.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• In-depth knowledge of emergency medicine best practices and regulations, with the ability to stay current with evolving practices and guidelines.
• Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to interact effectively with patients and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Strong judgment reviewing potential candidate qualifications.
• Must possess a valid medical license in the state of employment and be in good standing with all regulatory bodies.
