General Surgeon – Monroe, WA

EvergreenHealth is currently recruiting a full-time General Surgeon to join our exceptional and growing Surgical Care Team at EvergreenHealth Medical Center in Monroe. 

This position features:

  • Practice with a team of seven highly qualified, board-certified surgeons that specialize in:
    • Minimally invasive
    • Laparoscopic
    • Robotic assisted
    • Colorectal
    • Complex hernia surgery
    • Breast surgery
    • And so much more….
  • 80+ primary care providers in our Medical Group, which leads to great referrals.
  • Experienced physician with leadership experience preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply.

EvergreenHealth Medical Group (EHMG) is a physician-led, physician-designed group of more than 350 EvergreenHealth primary care doctors and specialists who are employees of EvergreenHealth. With continued growth of the community, SCPHD #1 decided to affiliate with the EvergreenHealth system, a public hospital district based just to the south in northeast King County. As part of new affiliation, our name changed to EvergreenHealth Monroe in March 2015.

EvergreenHealth Monroe is governed by an Alliance Governance Board, consisting of two Commissioners from SCPHD #1, two Board members from EvergreenHealth and the CEO of EvergreenHealth.

While the Alliance Governance Board will govern EvergreenHealth Monroe's operations, the SCPHD #1 Board will retain specific powers and responsibility for the public hospital district's health needs.

Accreditation

EvergreenHealth Monroe participates in the DNV accreditation program approved by the US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. DNV establishes national standards for hospitals and monitors process improvements through annual surveys. Our participation in this demanding review process is part of our unwavering commitment to the highest standards in patient care. Our most recent survey was completed in Jan. 2018, and our current accreditation is valid through Mar. 3, 2020.

The Washington State Department of Health also conducts a multi-day survey every three years as part of EvergreenHealth Monroe's license renewal process. They review the quality of both the clinical services and the facility, and interview staff, patients and their families. Our license currently runs through Dec. 31, 2020.
