Position Overview: We're seeking a dedicated Physician (MD/DO) to join our team as a Locum Tenens Hospitalist Nocturnist. • Worksite Location: Hospital
• Locations: Greater Houston and San Antonio Areas
• Number of Beds: 150 (currently staffed)
• Trauma Designation: Level III
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Specialty: Hospitalist Nocturnist
• Number of Patients per Day: average 8 admits per shift
• Percentage Adult/Peds: 100% Adult
• Anticipated Start Date: June/July 2024 (ongoing)
• Duration of Need: Through September 2024
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a)

Requirements:

• State License: TX License Required
• Board Certification: Board Eligible/Board Certified (Family Practice or Internal Medicine OK)
• Other Certifications: Active DEA, BLS, ACLS (Required)
• Hospital Privileging: TX standardized application + facility. Emergency privileges are available if needed.

Additional Information:

• Orientation: Same-day orientation and online hospital orientation modules are available prior to the start.
• EMR: Meditech C/S
• Procedures: ER responds to codes, but comfort with short-term vent management is preferred.
• ICU: Open ICU (16 beds), specialties available on call.
• Referral Center: Regional referral center for nearby communities, direct admissions common.
• Accommodations: Hotel provided while in town.
