WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Medical Oncology & Hematology physician to join our practice at Franciscan Health Cancer Center located in Munster, IN. Experience is preferred, however not required. Provider will join our established, busy practice which currently consists of three physicians and two physician assistants. Located just outside of Chicago on the Indiana border, this opportunity allows interested candidate to work in Indiana which is recognized nationally as a physician-friendly state.

Ideal candidate will have a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Physician will display exceptional interpersonal skills and a desire to develop strong ties with the community and build long-lasting relationships with their patients and families. Candidate will need to work collaboratively to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care. 

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • Clinic hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Flexible full-time schedule
  • Weekday, weekend & holiday call rotation: 1:4
  • Experience preferred
  • Average outpatient volume: 20 - 25 patients per day
  • Average inpatient volume: varies
  • PA support for inpatients
  • Provide inpatient chemotherapy as needed
  • On-site in our Cancer Center:
    • Breast Center
    • PET Scan
    • Infusion
    • Pharmacy
    • Radiation Oncology
    • Lab Center
    • Oncology Social Worker
    • Navigator (Breast, Lung, GI, Prostate)
  • Cancer Center is adjacent to Franciscan Health Munster which includes ER services, CT scans, MRI, X-rays, surgeries and IR

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate - Required
  • Physician License (MD/DO) - Upon Hire Required - and -
  • Board Certification in Specialty Discipline (or eligibility if appropriate) - Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Upon Hire Required
