The Plastic Surgery section at Corewell Health is recruiting two new physicians to join Dr. Ronald Ford and develop a reconstructive microsurgery section. This section will assist in the care of patients requiring breast reconstruction, oncologic head and neck reconstruction, limb salvage, lymphedema care and extended Oncologic reconstruction in conjunction with multi-disciplinary teams working at Corewell Health. Ideal candidates should have interest in and fellowship training in reconstructive microsurgery, be able to work in a collaborative environment with our fellowship trained oncologic breast surgeons and will be expected to also provide general plastic surgical care services.
Candidates will be expected to participate in resident education and facilitate learning in the development of resident microsurgical competence. The Corewell Health/Michigan State University College of Human Medicine Plastic Surgery Integrated Residency program offers an environment of collegiality with rigorous academic pursuit, abundant research opportunities and a demand for excellence. This is a unique opportunity for a plastic surgeon at the assistant or associate professor level to establish and grow an academic practice and be part of a strong and growing residency program. There is also an opportunity to advance into the role of residency associate program director. Academic appointment with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and compensation commensurate with training and experience.

Education - Medical Degree (MD or DO)
Board-eligible or Board-certified in Plastic Surgery Fellowship trained in Microsurgery
