Musculoskeletal Radiologist Position

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Radiology, is seeking a full-time MSK Radiologist to join its dynamic and well-established radiology team in a faculty position (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor).? This new position will support the mission of delivering the highest quality of care, as well as satisfying teaching, research, and academic responsibilities.

We welcome MSK fellowship-trained radiologists to apply, including candidates finishing fellowship. The position is available for start date as early as December 2024, but we are willing to wait for the right candidate to start in their ideal timeframe.

We enjoy a 100% subspecialty practice (including weekend call), and due to significant growth, we are recruiting a sixth radiologist to join our team. We have a high-volume and diverse case mix, and enjoy close relationships with our referring colleagues, facilitated by frequent conferences to ensure reciprocal learning. We take pride in our partnerships with the Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs, KC Current, and our relationship with the KU Jayhawks sports teams.

Our training program has 30 residents and one to two MSK fellows. Our modality mix of X-ray, MR, CT, and US is robust, including spine imaging. We enjoy a wide range of procedures and support rheumatology, sports medicine, internal medicine, and orthopedic surgery for a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (should be comfortable with even mix of US and Fluoroscopy).

While the clinical practice is a large part of this position, the ideal candidate will be motivated to participate in meaningful research and contribute to our trainee education with didactic lectures. Our salary, bonus, vacation, and benefits structure is exceptionally competitive.

Required Qualifications:

  • MD/DO or equivalent.
  • ABR Board Certified or Eligible.
  • Completion of a MSK fellowship, from an accredited institution.
  • Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri.
