Capital Health Medical Group (CHMG) in New Jersey is expanding our endocrinology group. We are currently looking for a highly motivated endocrinologist to join our team consisting of five endocrinologists, two nurse practitioners and ancillary staff including diabetic educators. CHMG currently offers endocrinology services at our Hopewell, NJ, Bordentown, NJ and Lower Makefield, PA outpatient offices. As part of the Capital Health System, providers have access to in-house diagnostic testing and ancillary services/providers: full service laboratory, DEXA scan, thyroid ultrasonography and ultrasound-guided FNA, vascular diagnostic testing, neurodiagnostic testing for diabetic neuropathy and more.

The role is a full time (40 hours) role with call responsibility. Providers will care for patients with metabolic disorders, diabetes and thyroid dysfunction in an outpatient setting while working with an experienced team. Providers will analyze, examine, and investigate patients and their medical histories for signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalance. The provider is expected to advise, order, and perform tests and interpret the results including discuss diagnoses with patients, explain treatment options, and give advice on medications, lifestyle and dietary changes, and other preventative measures. Physicians will provide care for new and follow-up patients, monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans and medications, and update patient records. Providers are expected to remain up-to-date on current discoveries, developments, trends, research, and technology. The role does require physicians to handle basic administrative, clerical, and business tasks, such as filing, answering phones, or data entry. When on call, the physician will provide inpatient consultations at both Capital Health medical campuses. Physicians will provide care at the Capital Health Medical Clinic in Trenton and in the Forensic Unit at Regional Medical Center.

An active NJ state medical license, DEA and CDS are required to be secured by the date of employment. CHMG does require providers to hold dual licensing in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Future employees must present proof of application submission for their PA state license by the date of their employment. Once the PA license is secured, the physician will submit for their PA DEA. All candidates must be board certified or board eligible in endocrinology.
