Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate endocrinologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid diseases, and hormonal imbalances. As an integral member of our practice, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans and provide outstanding patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat patients with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid diseases, and hormonal imbalances.
• Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals.
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients about their condition, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, nurses, and dietitians, to provide coordinated care.

Requirements:

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility in endocrinology.
• Valid medical license in the state of California.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Michael K. Lai, MD 

Dr. Lai is a Board Certified Internal Medicine and Endcrinology & Metabolism physician with over 30 years of experience. He obtained his MD from UCLA School of Medicine before his internship and residency at St. Mary's Medical Center in Long Beach. Dr. Lai  completed his fellowship in Endocrinology at the University of Irvine. After working as an endocrinologist in Southern California, Dr. Lai moved to the Central Coast to start his private practice in 1993. In addition to his practice, Dr. Lai is the Medical Director of Diabetes Services at Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria and an Adjunct Faculty at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
