IU Health Arnett Physicians Physicist- Radiation Oncology

IU Health Arnett Physicians has a full-time employment opportunity for a Medical Physicist to join their established Radiation Oncology clinic located in Lafayette, Indiana. 

Employment opportunity Details:

• Full-Time, Out-patient 
• Days (Mon-Fri) with no call responsibilities however the candidate must have ability to work occasional weekend for QA work
• Possible to work remotely one day a week. 
• Strong collaboration with physicians, therapists, Advanced Practice Providers and clinical staff
• Practice is ACR accredited.

Equipment and platforms include: GE 4D CT with RGSC, Bravos HDR (SAVI, GYN, skin applicators), Eclipse/ARIA, RadCalc, 3D-printed bolus, SNC Machine, SRS Mapcheck. SNC Dynamic Platform.  In addition to 2 TrueBeams with HyperArc, 4D CBCT, iCBCT, Identify. One TrueBeam also has Calypso.

Key Responsibilities:

• This position provides a full range of physics services to Radiation Therapy, involving, but not limited to, calibration, dosimetry, treatment planning, Quality Assurance, research and development.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Requires board certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiological Physics. Eligibility for board certification may be considered.
• Requires Indiana State Licensure as Physicist in Radiation Oncology. Please visit ISDH website for licensing requirements.
• Requires MS or PhD in medical physics; physics; radiation biology or a related discipline or a combination of education and significant comparable experience in radiation therapy.
• Good organizational skills.
• Previous experience with computer systems and various software packages.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; with the ability to relate well to patients and staff.
• Must be knowledgeable regarding standard precautions and environmental protections standards.
