ED Medical Director

Desert Valley Medical Group is looking for a Medical Director for our Emergency Department in our hospital located in Victorville, CA.

Position Details:

• ED Medical Director.
• Will be employed as 1099 Independent Contractor.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience as an Assistant Medical Director or Medical Director for Emergency Department.
• Must be Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine.
• Must be willing to cover 12 clinical shifts each month. (Mix of days and nights)
• 12-hour Shift.
• Up to $7500 Monthly Directorship Stipend.

Job Responsibilities may include:

• Provide professional oversight for advanced practice nurses and/or physician assistants.
• Serve as a resource for consultation and referral for all mid-level providers and nursing staff.
• Consult and participate, when possible, in training and educating the staff.
• Participate in all staff, management, and board of directors’ meetings as requested or necessary.
• Provide professional perspective and direction in development of the health care plan and strategic plan of the Clinic.
• Collaborate in ensuring the viability of the organization through the oversight of provider productivity, development of the annual budget, participation as a member of the administrative management team and participation in the processes of grant writing and funding opportunities.
